Volunteer Profile: self-motivated, trustworthy, reliable

Communion Preparation

Every Sunday service at CHCC, we partake in communion as an important part of our worship. This communion is prepped in advance by members of the Communion Preparation Ministry. A volunteer comes in early on Sunday mornings to fill the jars of grape juice and bowls of bread. The jars and bowls are then placed on all of the tables prior to service by this volunteer. You will be trained on proper handling and storage of these items. The volunteers rotate who takes responsibility, giving each person a month at a time. We are looking for people who are dependable, detail-oriented and self-sufficient. If you believe you match these qualifications and would like to volunteer, or would like to request more information, complete the form below and someone will get back to you shortly.

Worship Center Appearance

The Worship Center Appearance Ministry consists of the people who decorate the worship center throughout the year. The goal of this ministry is to elevate the worship experience by making the room inviting and festive and, most of all, to draw our attention to God through beauty. There are many weeks where nothing is required of this ministry, but you can expect to be much more involved during holidays, especially before Christmas and Easter. We are looking for people who have an eye for aesthetics and work well in teams. You may be occasionally asked to make a shopping run. If you believe you match these qualifications and would like to volunteer, or would like to request more information, complete the form below and someone will get back to you shortly.

Worship Center Clean-up

The heart of this ministry is to help prepare the Worship Center each Sunday to be a clean and orderly place where people can worship comfortably. Each Sunday after the service, the Worship Center Clean-up Crew wipes off every table in the worship building, throws away used communion cups, and picks up other trash. This team is also in charge of taking the communion bread bowls and juice jars backstage to empty out and clean. You will be trained on proper handling and storage of these items. The volunteers rotate who takes responsibility and must commit to serving at least one recurring shift per month (for example, the first Sunday of every month). Being apart of this ministry will require staying after the service for 10-15 minutes. We want people who are thorough, thoughtful and diligent. If you believe you match these qualifications and would like to volunteer, or would like to request more information, complete the form below and someone will get back to you shortly.
